The Luna Moth Totem
My logo on my website for Joy Coaching is a Luna Moth. Many people ask me why I use this symbol. In June 2011, I saw this beautiful creature, up north, at night in it’s angelic appearance. Not knowing what it was I found it’s image and some information on the life of a Luna Moth. I decided to look up it’s totem meaning and here is what it said “Focus on your goals, even with set-back or hurdles, Trust the Universe
Spiritual Totem meaning –
Recognizes one’s vulnerabilities, trust your instincts and inner voice rather than just the concrete things we see. Attracted by light, vigilant in the intrigue path that leads to light, similar to our intuition and judgement. In life we need to pay attention to the signs and instinct that is being communicated with us, symbolism, personal transformation, mysticism, intuition, determination and rebirth.
Unaware of the life changes I was about to embark upon, I immediately created a card for myself with this image. I identified with this Totem.
Information and the ancient history of the Luna Moth.
I find this creature most fascinating. I have seen her in person a handful of times in Northern Ontario around my cottage. She is attracted to the light, as are most moths. She cannot be missed in the light, she is large 3-4 inches in size. When I decided to share my intuitive spiritual journey, I identified with this symbolic creature of birth, life, death, rebirth and transition in the infinite circle of life. Her soul purpose is to transform into an angelic looking creature and lay eggs for future generations of this species survival. When she is in her most beautiful state, she does not eat and will parish within 7 days of her purpose. A selfless act of motherly love and a generational goal of the eternal cycle of creation.
